Mono Tape Club

Mono Tape Club is a listening room heavily inspired by the brilliant jazz kissas of Japan - bars and cafes where appreciating music is always at the center. Knowing how special these places and owners are, and in the Japanese tradition of 'Mono No Aware,' we humbly offer a space to appreciate some of the impermanent things we love the most: vinyl, cassettes, vintage audio gear, drinks, and people.

We spin vinyl, cassettes, and mixtapes curated by our favorite SLC locals and sometimes the odd passer-through. We serve a rotating menu of cocktails, beer, scotch, Japanese whiskey, and coffee. Come sit, listen, and let the moment be enough.

Mono Tape Club is a listening room. While our coffee and bar programs are worth the visit alone, they exist to support the music listening experience. We ask that you come to enjoy the space, the menu, and the music with intentionality. Please help us preserve what makes this experience special by entering softly, moving slowly, and being mindful of your volume.
